I am Brandon Turriff, I have my Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I strive to become an architect, start my own architecture firm and have a successful book series with Bonkers The Bear.When I was in High School, I wrote notes to my then girlfriend. I started to write silly stories. I wrote her a story about a bear named Bonkers that liked PB&J Sandwiches. It was a fun story that stuck with me for years.In 2016, my brother announced he and his wife were having a baby. I wanted to do something as a gift, so I decided to rewrite my story of a silly bear and illustrate it. The more I worked on it, the more real this story became. I began to think that this could be bigger than a story that is just a gift, and it was. I did everything myself, I wrote and illustrated the entire thing and self published the story and began selling it on Amazon. Since Bonkers The Bear and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich was released in 2017, I have sold over half of my inventory, drawn Bonkers in many different situations to celebrate holidays, and created a storefront on Spreadshirt where I sell a number of shirts, mugs, and many other products.Bonkers The Bear has become a huge part of my life and I hope it can become a big part of yours.
